Heritage Park Museum is located on nearly 2 acres of land overlooking the City of Terrace. This land is on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Tsimshian people. The area was historically used as a military hospital during the second World War, prior to the establishment of the Museum. Learn more about our origin story here.
We are a living history museum, featuring several historical log buildings from the region. Our artifacts, sourced from across the Terrace area, weave together a narrative that spans themes such as mining, telegraph lines, logging, pioneer life, hospitality, farming, and school. Each exhibit is a unique exploration of the region’s pioneer history, offering a diverse and immersive experience for all who step through our gate. We also have feature and temporary exhibits in the summer, sharing further themes of the regions history. Past temporary exhibits have been on medical history and war-time history.
Every summer we welcome in visitors with guided tours and the opportunity to explore our site! We look forwards to seeing you this year.
