Our region tells a compelling story of our past and present. Visit the Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin for an array of exhibits of the fur trade, the Cariboo’s Indigenous peoples, forest fire devastation and the gold rush era.
Join in with one of the regions Pow-wows. The Williams Lake Indian Band hosts their annual Father’s Day Pow Wow in June while the first weekend of August has Lhtako Dene & Tillicum Society Annual Pow-wow in Quesnel. All are welcome to join the ceremonies and celebrations.
Visit one of our weekend festivals. ArtsWells will inspire and engage the creative mind, while the Williams Lake Stampede will rope you into the cowboy culture, or celebrate the gold rush heritage during Billy Barker Days in Quesnel.
