Some of the main attractions in Ladysmith include works by the most well-known artists in the town such as Cindy Friesen-Ford Ashurst and Elissa Anthony. Cindy Friesen-Ford Ashurts finds inspiration from photographs taken at places where she goes and the main themes are realistic landscapes and wildlife. The artist is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has been awarded for her works. Elissa Anthony is an oil landscape painter born in Toronto, Ontario who later relocated to Vancouver Island and opened her studio and gallery.
